Holding yourself and others accountable is one of the most challenging tasks we all have. You say the word "accountability" in a meeting or use it with a loved one and unfortunately it immediately causes someone to cringe, sigh, or feel really uncomfortable and possibly attacked.
It's a part of who we are as humans though, we know what we want and need to do, but we just don't do it sometimes. It's frustrating, it causes trust issues, and if not addressed can seriously damage relationships at home and work.
It does not have to be this way. Over the past ten years I've witnessed individuals harness the power of accountability and use it to be more intentional, purposeful, and successful in their life.
My experience coaching and leading teams has taught me there are six steps you can take to achieve greater accountability and results in your life and business. Download the tool from this webinar by clicking here: 6 Steps To Greater Accountability.
Step 1: Be Accountable to Yourself
Step 2: Identify Personal Areas of Accountability
Step 3: Identify Professional Areas of Accountability
Step 4: Take Action
Step 5: Schedule Your Week
Step 6: Commit to an Accountability Partner
I recently had the opportunity to speak on this topic for my company, Building Champions, and I've included the webinar video of my talk in this post. In this video, I explain each of these steps and the action you must take to achieve greater accountability.
